Venue Change

After a season spent at Hayes and Yeading football club and a few weeks in a temporary venue we have returned to St. Clarets. The move was completed on the 18th April 2011 and club night will take place from the 19th, every Tuesday.

Background

Hayes Chess Club was founded in 1952 and play in a spacious room at St Claret's Social Club. We enjoy all the advantages of being part of a large club, such as events, cheap beer, socialising and more.

Hayes Chess Club has been serving the Hayes community for chess for over five decades. The members are friendly and enthusiastic about chess. Whether you need a social venue or to stretch your competitive legs, Hayes Chess Club has it all. At Hayes Chess Club, the goal is to provide you with a friendly, fun and interesting environment to enjoy all aspects of chess.

Vibrant Chess Club

Hayes Chess Club is an active club with many members. We compete in the Hillingdon League and the Thames Valley League. We organise social events such as a Club Simultaneous with as visiting Grandmaster, a Christmas Lightning Tournament, often hilarious, and friendly matches, a Club Championship and sometimes an enlightening lecture.
